This Haunting Collection Exists Somewhere Between Adolescence and Death
Robert Wun's FW26 collection, "Childsplay", crosses a childhood memory and the reminder of our own mortality

I've had the "red door" dream since I was a child. That crimson presence stretching like a shadow on a bedroom wall. My chest is hollow and sinks into my stomach. Though little hands grasp fleece, I know this door will someday swallow me whole.
This past July at Paris Fashion Week, Robert Wun brought the evocative Childsplay collection to the runway. The first Hong Kong born designer to debut at Paris Fashion Week and is already shaking up couture as we know it.
Filling the Dôme de Paris with balloons, bunnies, and big bad wolves; the audience is transported back to their childhood.

Couture through a child's lens shows us the canvas being painted and a life being grown into. We sort through these lost childhood dreams of being an astronaut or a ballerina, using our old toybox to defend against the Big Bad Wolf. Through the warmth of innocence, the haunting glow of the red door reminds us that time is fleeting.
