HORROR BOOKCLUB AND INDIE PRINT IN GRAPEVINE, TX

Carrying all genres of Thriller, Science Fiction, and Horror, Talking Animals is the first and only indie bookstore in Downtown Grapevine. Opening in February of 2023, Talking Animals has become a must-see bookstore in DFW. They offer your favorite popular titles like ACOTAR, classics, and even have local horror authors! This is the first shop I've been to that does indie print, so I'm absolutely coming back to check out some lesser-known work.
Finding your way around the shop feels like an adventure. There's an entire room for children's books and a little reading nook (god, I love a nook.) On their second floor, they have used books, a coffee station, a seating area, and toys for the kids.
Guys, they have book clubs! I love nothing more than building community and Talking Animals has done a fantastic job of this. I found this out simply by finding I'm Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid. Upon checking out, I'm told that this happened to be Emmalie's (manager and Horror expert) pick! They currently have 6 ongoing book clubs, including a Horror centered club, that meet monthly. In addition to the book clubs, Talking Animals is always hosting events. On October 18, Talking Animals is hosting The Horror Book Fest at Hop & Sting Brewing Co. From 2:00 to 8:00 PM, enjoy local vendors, meet indie authors, grab a beer, and check out a new book for Halloween!

WHAT'S NEXT FOR TALKING ANIMALS?
In November, Talking Animals will be opening a second location at 909 S. Main St Suite 104 in Grapevine, TX. Complete with a full service coffee and wine bar, event space, larger author talks, and more! They are hoping to raise $100,000 to help open this second space and are still taking donations.
